Ste. Michelle Wine Estates was formally established in 1986 to accommodate a growing
portfolio, but the wineries that first comprised the modern company
have a history dating back to just after the repeal of prohibition.
Ste. Michelle was first introduced in 1967 and since that time, the
company has expanded its vineyard holdings to more than 4,200 acres
in Washington and California. In addition to Chateau Ste. Michelle, Ste. Michelle Wine Estates
today includes Columbia Crest, Domaine Ste. Michelle, Snoqualmie,
Col Solare,
NorthStar,
Villa Mt. Eden,
Conn Creek,
Stimson Estate Cellars, Red Diamond, Erath, Antinori and Stag's Leap Wine Cellars. The company also produces the award winning Eroica
in partnerships with the Mosel's Ernest Loosen and Col Solare in partnership
with Tuscany's Marchesi Antinori collaborating with our Chateau Ste.
Michelle winemakers.
