Candidate FAQ Questions Q. How can I apply for a position with Ste. Michelle Wine Estates? A. The best way to apply for a position is via our website at www.ste-michelle.com/employment. Here you can search for an open position, create a profile, and submit your resume for the positions that interests you. Your profile will be carefully reviewed by a recruiter once you have applied for a specific position and we will contact you if we determine that your qualifications meet our current needs. We update our job listings as they become available so please check back regularly. Q. Can I apply for multiple positions with Ste. Michelle Wine Estates? A. Once you complete your profile, you are able to apply your information to multiple positions. Please note that you must apply your profile specifically to each position that is of interest to you. Q. How long will my profile remain in the database? How often should I update it? A. Your profile will remain active in our database for no less than one year. If your personal or employment information changes, we recommend you update your personal profile. At a minimum, your profile should be updated every twelve months. Q. What should I do if I get a Validation Error? A. If you are receiving an error, check each text box to ensure that no symbols, such as dollar signs or periods, have been entered. Other errors may include incorrect formatting and/or mistyping your password. For example, mm/dd/yyyy, must be keyed exactly as a 2 digit month, 2 digit day, and 4 digit year. If the data entered is correct and there are no symbols, clear your cookies and try again. Q. How can I get help with the application process or a technical problem? A. For additional assistance or help with a technical problem while completing the Ste. Michelle Wine Estates application process, you can contact us by emailing human.resources@ste-michelle.com. Please include your phone number in case we need additional information. We also ask that you limit inquires to technical difficulties or errors. Please do not send additional documents unless requested to do so. If additional documents are required, they will be requested when you apply or during the interview process. Q. How do I update my resume or candidate profile? A. You can update your resume or candidate profile anytime by logging into the Ste. Here you can search for an open position, create a profile or edit an existing profile. Click Edit Your Profile and log in to update or review your current resume or candidate profile. Your information will be updated immediately. Q. Can I submit multiple resumes or tailor my resume for a specific position? A. Our employment website has the ability to hold one active resume at a time within your candidate profile. Tailoring your resume for a particular position could affect your chances for other jobs for which you have applied. For best results, we recommend that you use a comprehensive resume highlighting all of your skills, education, and qualifications. Q. Can I submit a formatted resume or cover letter? A. Our website requires that you use simple text formatting on your resume and cover letter(s). Please avoid bullets, bolding, custom fonts, columns, and images in your resume. You can upload a formatted resume as an attachment or present one at an in-person interview. Q. Can I email my resume to someone to review? A. Please do not email us your resume, but instead create a profile using our online application. Access our website at www.ste-michelle-wine-estates.com/employment and click on the Ste. Michelle Wine Estates Job Opportunities link. This will display a listing of our open positions. Here you can search for an open position, create a profile or edit an existing profile. To submit your resume for a specific position, click on the position title and scroll down to the bottom of the job posting. Click Apply On-Line and then click here to create a new account. Please copy/paste your resume into the resume text box and complete the candidate profile. Upon completing your candidate profile, you can access your resume at any time by logging in with your user name and password. You do not have to complete the candidate profile at the time you apply for a position. You can postpone completion of the profile to a later time; however, your application will not be considered complete until you have completed the entire candidate profile. Q. How will I be contacted if Ste Michelle Wine Estates is interested in my application? A. When a department is interested in speaking to you about a position that you applied for, a representative from Human Resources will contact you via phone or email using the contact information you provided in your profile. Q. What if I forget my password? A. On the login screen, click on the blue link below the login button. Enter your email address and your password will be sent to you. Please be advised that the email will be sent from US Smokeless Tobacco, our parent company. You will receive an e-mail containing a temporary password and instructions on how to change your password. Go to the web address specified in the e-mail and enter both your temporary password and a new password. Your new password will then be valid, and you can access your personal profile. Q. What is the minimum age requirement to work at Ste. Michelle Wine Estates? A. For most positions, you must be at least 18 years old to be eligible for employment at Ste. Michelle Wine Estates. Some positions require that you be at least 21 years old. Q. How do I tell a friend about job opportunities at Ste. Michelle Wine Estates? A. You can send a position to your friend directly using the “Send This Job to a Friend” link located at the bottom of the job posting. Click on the link and you will be prompted to enter your friend's e-mail address, your e-mail address, and any comments you would like to include. Yes, we offer a limited number of internship opportunities. All available internships will be listed on our employment website and will have “intern” in the job title.
